15–19 January 2026
PerMaTa South Sulawesi–YDTI continued its journey with the Sasakawa Young Scholar Program, holding the second leadership workshop from 15–19 January. Alongside five scholars, 25 young people from different districts in South and West Sulawesi joined the program, strengthening their skills and building solidarity.
Day 1: Training with Pak Mus on Prevention of Disability (POD) and Nerve Function Assessment.
Day 2: Continued POD and self‑care session with Andi Amin.
Day 3: Pak Bambang led advocacy training. Later, at Benteng Somba Opu, Horst Liebner shared the history of Makassar, reminding participants that “united we are strong.” The day closed with ‘Malam Renungan’, a reflective evening to share experiences and remember Doddy Tumanduk who passed away in December.
Day 4: Public speaking practice with Pak Bambang.
Day 5: Kahar facilitated peer support training, followed by our team’s session on data formats.
This five‑day workshop not only refreshed knowledge and skills but also deepened the commitment of young people to advocacy and peer support. The program continues to nurture future leaders who will carry forward the mission of inclusion and empowerment.
