
Peer to Peer support for young persons affected by leprosy in Barru and Bantaeng
“Empowerment of young people affected by leprosy through a peer-to-peer approach” by PerMaTa South Sulawesi – YDTI, supported by Misereor: We are in our second year and this year we have a focus on Barru district. Our field team has identified three young persons affetced by leprosy and conducted trainings.

Peer support in Ambon!
This November we are taking the next steps for our project supported by the Sasakawa Health Foundation (SHF): We are going to Ambon! There the team meets PerMaTa Ambon, the health department and health centres, to identify young people affected by leprosy from the registers, who will then be visited

OUCRU stigma study
A stigma study conducted by Gajah Mada University in Yogyakarta and Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) Indonesia in Jakarta is currently underway in Gowa, South Sulawesi, in which YDTI and PerMaTa were invited to participate. After the quantitative survey in July, the qualitative part is now being carried out
