German Embassy in Jakarta: Renovation of Batu Leleng Settlement in Toraja

For the second time, we are honored to receive support from the German Embassy’s Small Project Funds!

This year’s project focuses on restoring the historic leprosy settlement in North Toraja, South Sulawesi. Fourteen houses, built in the 1930s, are in urgent need of repair, along with the community’s pathways and shared sanitation facilities.

In addition, the elderly residents of these homes will receive support for chicken or duck breeding, including cages, a pair of animals, feed, and training provided by the local government.

We are deeply grateful to all those joining hands in this effort—the German Embassy, the Toraja Church, the local government, and of course, the residents of Batu Leleng whose commitment and cooperation make this project possible.
