Our young teams are conducting a survey as part of a project to investigate the knowledge, attitudes and behaviour of community members, health workers, people affected by leprosy and their close contacts regarding leprosy. This project is part of the MetLep study being conducted by Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta and the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Jakarta, with support from the Leprosy Research Initiative (LRI). After initial training, our teams will contact and interview different target groups to find out how much they know about leprosy and what they think about people affected by the disease. The young researchers are all affected by leprosy themselves.
